The Lutheran Womens' Missionary League (LWML) is an organization created for women through the Lutheran Church. Missouri Synod.† It's purpose is to grow spiritually through prayer and missions.† The monetary gifts or mites are collected and given to the District to support worldwide missions.† Any other funds given or made, are used to improve or beautify our church.
During the winter we meet 1 or 2 days a week to make quilts for the needy.† This makes for good Christian fellowship.
We do not have a membership as such, usually 12 to 15 ladies are present at our meeting and we would like to see more.† Our monthly meeting consists of a Bible lesson, business meeting and a light lunch. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm, alternating between St. Paul's & St. John's.
All ladies of the parish are welcome to join us.
Loon Lake LWML exchanges produce for mites!
The St. Paulís LWML organized a great project this fall.† Those who had excess garden produce brought it in exchange for free will offerings that went towards the LWML mites. Those who did not have a garden enjoyed being† able to choose fresh produce to bring home. In the photo above Lorraine Davis, Marjorie Richter, Lois Wippich, Carol Klatt, Donna Hoffman and Arlene Kolle are looking over a table filled with tomatoes, peppers, apples, carrots, beets, onions, pumpkins, jams, etc.† What a wonderful way to share Godís bountiful gifts.
